Fowlkes, David Clay

David Clay Fowlkes currently serves as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, a position he has held since January 2020. In this role, he has supervised the criminal, civil, and administrative divisions and served as lead task force attorney for the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force. Mr. Fowlkes has nearly two decades of experience at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Fort Smith, where he has held various positions, including First Assistant U.S. Attorney, Criminal Chief, Deputy Criminal Chief, and Assistant U.S. Attorney. Before joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, he served as deputy prosecuting attorney in Benton County, Arkansas.
Mr. Fowlkes earned his J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville. He received his B.A. in agriculture business from Arkansas State University.
Freeman, Lindsey Ann

Lindsey Ann Freeman is currently First Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Middle District of North Carolina (2025-present), and prior to that she has served as Assistant U.S. Attorney since 2021. She also served in several roles at the U.S. Department of Justice: Chief of Staff and Deputy Associate Attorney General (2020), and in the Office of Legal Policy. Ms. Freeman clerked in the U.S. Appellate Court for the Sixth Circuit judge.
Ms. Freeman holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School (2011), with a certificate in Business and Public Policy from Wharton Business School, and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University (2005).
Ganjei, Nicholas Jon

Nicholas Jon Ganjei currently serves as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas, a position he has held since January 2025 after initially serving as interim U.S. Attorney. From 2022 to 2025, Mr. Ganjei served as chief counsel for U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, where he oversaw initiatives on criminal justice, border security, judicial nominations, antitrust issues, intellectual property, and religious liberty. From 2020 to 2021, he served as First Assistant U.S. Attorney and interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas. Mr. Ganjei spent the majority of his career from 2008 to 2020 as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of New Mexico. He clerked for Judge Richard Allen Griffin on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 2007 to 2008 and for Judge Ralph R. Erickson on the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota from 2005 to 2007.
Mr. Ganjei earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2005. He received his B.A. in history and political science, with a minor in public administration, from American University in 2000. He is currently enrolled in the Master's program in government at Hillsdale College's Van Andel School of Government.
Guard, John M.

John M. Guard has served as Chief Deputy Attorney General for the State of Florida since 2021. Previously, he was a partner at the law firm of Quales & Brady and served as Chief Deputy Attorney General. Mr. Guard also worked as an assistant in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, a position he held from 2019 to 2012. He served in the commercial litigation practice of Holland & Knight from 2004 to 2009. He worked as a law clerk on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida from 2002 to 2004.
Mr. Guard received his J.D. from Tulane Law School in 2000 and his B.S. from Florida State University in 1997.
Hermandorfer, Whitney D.

Whitney Hermandorfer is currently the Director of the Strategic Litigation Unit in the Tennessee Attorney General's Office. In this role, she leads constitutional, statutory, and administrative-law challenges to federal agency actions and represents the state in complex trial and appellate matters. Previously, she practiced appellate and administrative law at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C.Ms. Hermandorfer has clerked for several prominent jurists: Justice Samuel Alito during the U.S. Supreme Court's October 2018 term; Justice Amy Coney Barrett in her inaugural 2020 term; then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit; and Judge Richard Leon on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Ms. Hermandorfer earned her J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 2015, graduating first in her class and serving as Editor-in-Chief of The George Washington Law Review. She received the John Bell Larner Award for the highest cumulative GPA. Ms. Hermandorfer holds an A.B., summa cum laude, in sociology from Princeton University, where she was co-captain of the women's varsity basketball team.
