Nation's Court's Online is intended as an easy-to-use reference guide for those interested in the U.S. court system.

Those who will find Nation's Court's Online useful and instructive include attorneys, paralegals, law students and members of the general public who pay attention to the nation's judiciary and legal issues.

Nation's Courts Online consists of four major services:

    (1) A comprehensive directory of the nation's federal, state and county courts and their websites, including federal judicial confirmations (or rejections) as they occur, and a complete list of federal court vacancies and those nominated to fill these vacancies plus biographical information on federal nominees and sitting judges.

    (2) Federal and State Court Organization Charts. The state charts provide comprehensive jurisdictional information at each court level of the state's judiciary, from the appellate courts of each state to that of the courts of general jurisdiction (the trial courts) to the courts of limited jurisdiction (family court, probate court, municipal court, etc.).

    (3) Explanatory material on the courts and how they operate.

    (4) Federal and state website links are provided throughout, for quick access to the information you seek.

The courts play a vital role in our society, and we intend that Nation's Courts Online keep you informed and up-to-date.

Nations Courts Online closely follows federal court vacancies as they occur and nominations by the Biden administration to fill these vacancies, and the nominees' confirmation (or rejection) by the Senate.

Thus far, President Biden has had 192 of his judicial nominations confirmed (through April 29, '24
): 1 confirmation to the Supreme Court, 41 to the appellate courts, 148 to the district courts, and 2 to the U.S. Court of Int'l Trade. During former President Trump's four years in office, the Senate confirmed 231 of his nominees: 3 to the Supreme Court, 54 to the appellate courts, and 174 to the district courts.

Details on court confirmations and nominations are included herein.
