Jurisdiction:

The U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims was created by act of Congress in 1988 to review decisions of the Board of Veterans Appeals whose decisions, prior to the establishment of the Court of Veterans Appeals, were final. Appeals from the Court of Veterans Appeals are to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Judges are appointed for 15-year terms and subject to Senate confirmation.
